Paris, France - June 1, 2006 - Telehouse Europe, Located on the 3rd
floor of its rue de Voltaire building, the new 10m Euro centre is
the latest in a series of investments since the opening of
Telehouse's second Paris site in 2001. Telehouse Paris' Internet
Data Center now provide 7,000 sq.m of secure colocation space, to
companies including the main French Internet Exchange PariX and
SfinX. The new facilities are targeted at organizations that require
a high availability of business-critical applications, such as those
based on internet transactions and communications, internet points
of presence and call centers. Customers range from ISPs, banks and
car manufacturers to business services companies, government bodies,
retailers and media companies. The space includes high power
availability, multiple redundancy capabilities and security levels
and reliability. Telehouse Paris is committed to a 99.999% service
level agreement (SLA). The power consumption of the Voltaire site is
equivalent to that needed to supply a town of 35,000 people. The
data centre is highly equipped and secured in order to meet client
needs and guarantee uninterrupted service. The centre has dual power
supplies from two power stations to ensure resilience in the event
of a disaster. Alongside physical elements additional levels of
redundancy have been built into the site, from operational
redundancy (all carriers are present at Telehouse as well as the
main French Internet Exchange PariX and SfinX) to geographical
redundancy (the second data centre located in Jeuneurs can assist to
share the load with the Voltaire centre).
